We had the privilege of spending a full day with Brothers for Life, and really getting to know Ohad, Roy, and Kobi. They shared their experiences and challenges dealing with PTSD and other traumas openly and honestly, and it really added a personal touch to the challenges of being a combat soldier in Israel. Our children, ages 9-16, all really connected and got so much out of our time together. Ohad also arranged an amazing day for us, including some really special tours at Caliber 3 and through Jerusalem, enabling us to spend time with the soldiers while learning so much about Jerusalem, the army, and the history of the Israel. Thank you for an amazing experience!

On a recent trip to Israel for our son’s bar mitzvah, we spent the day with Achim L’chaim at Caliber 3. We first watched a video about Achim L’chaim which was very informative. We then had the privilege to have one of the soldiers talk about his personal story and experience in the IDF. It was truly inspiring and makes one feel very appreciative of these incredible, brave soldiers and very proud to be Jewish. We then spent time learning how to shoot guns which my 3 sons absolutely loved, as well as being involved in a simulated terrorist attack, which was frightening and gave us a scary perspective of what the IDF soldiers are trained to do. We then went on to learning some Krav-Maga which was another highlight for my kids. The soldiers looked after us from the time they fetched us from our hotel until they dropped us back after a truly unforgettable day. I would highly recommend getting in touch with the wonderful organization Achim L’chaim to make your trip to Israel even more memorable and meaningful.
